Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal

Ok so when I receive these products from influester to review, I hope they expect me to be honest...cuz I'm gonna be!! I got the Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal in my Holiday Voxbox from influenster in the summer berry flavor. It has strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries in it. I was very excited to try it, because I thought it sounded like something I would like..... I didn't like it!
I love the concept and the travel ready packaging. I just didnt love the flavor and texture. I eat instant oatmeal at work a lot and I guess I expected something more similar to that. I can see why some people would love the whole pieces of fruit and whole berries, but it just had a strange taste to me. I dont LOVE blueberries, but I like blueberry flavored stuff so that was probably a big reason behind my distaste. I assume this oatmeal is way better for you than the plain old instant oatmeal. You can check out the Quaker website for more product info. There are other flavors but none of those applealed to me either.

Bottom Line: Great concept, cute packaging, don't love the flavor.

Would I repurchase??
Not unless they come out with a new flavor

Hiding in Sunshine Book Review!

I am so glad that I received this book from Influenster to review. I probably would have never looked twice at it on my own. First thing I thought was interesting was this book is written by a father-daughter team, which I thought was cute, but I was kind of skeptical...As I started reading I had already prepared myself to only be mildly interested, but that was not the case at all! This book is very intense! It is a "page-turner" for sure! It is a little scary, and not in your usual vampire, witch, ghost kind of way. It's scary because cyber-terrorists really exist and your life can be turned upside down in a matter of moments! This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I rarely put it down from start to finish! I've already passed this book off to a friend. I think that is the test of a good book!

Plot:

Goody QuikStyle

This is my very first blog, EVER!! When i became part of influenster, I thought I would like to create a blog for my product reviews....so here goes!!



When I received my first Influster VoxBox, I didn't really know what to expect. It's free so I thought maybe it would be crappy samples...boy was I wrong. I opened my Holiday VoxBox and the first thing I saw was the Goody QuikStyle brush. It's a paddle brush with regular bristles, but between the bristles are little microfiber bits. As soon as I saw it I thought, Duh! why didn't I think of this!? It's basically a towel and brush in one! The microfiber is said to remove 30% of water from your hair, which seriously cuts down on the dry time! I was pretty curious about it so I washed my hair the next morning (even though it had been washed the day before) and gave it a try. My waist length hair, that usually takes about 30 mins to dry, was dry in 10-15 mins! It was also super straight and shiny. I love this brush! I figured the brush would be good for blow outs but another thing I love about it is on days when I don't wash my hair I like to use a dry shampoo. If you've used dry shampoos you know they sometimes leave a white residue. This brush is GREAT for brushing dry shampoo through your hair so you dont look like you're wearing a George Washington powdered wig! So, overall consensus...This brush is awesome! I give it 5 stars!!
